Nearly every home has "low-hanging fruit" when it comes to saving energy, and of those fruits, air sealing is at the top of the list. The most cost-effective way to save an energy dollar is to not spend it!

Some air sealing is straight-forward and can be done as a weekend DIY project, but you might not have the time or inclination to do it. There are also some areas of the home that require a professional eye, materials or tools that a typical homeowner doesn't have on hand. Efficiency Maine offers an Air Sealing with Energy Assessment rebate to help get the job done.

During an energy assessment, a pre-blower door test and infrared camera are used to identify air leaks that are not visible to the naked eye. Your home's air leakage rate is also established during this initial test. From there, we come up with a targeted air sealing plan that maximizes the effectiveness of labor and materials. The blower door may be used during air sealing to guide the work, and afterward a post-blower door test is performed to measure its effectiveness.

Take advantage of Efficiency Maine's Air Sealing with Energy Assessment rebate to plug those holes in your home that are wasting your hard-earned money and needlessly burning fuel.
